if you are interested in being published to just good poems, we are glad to have you! please submit a maximum of ten poems in the body of an email addressed to justgoodpoems@gmail.com. including a short author's bio is encouraged but not required, and will not affect the status of your submissions in any way. simultaneous submissions are allowed, as well as previously published poems granted that you have the right to republish.
all styles and poem lengths are encouraged, though it is preferred that they do not exceed 100 lines. no poem will be rejected due to topic or genre, though any poems with content that may generally be considered offensive will likely be declined. due to the growing nature of this publication, no financial compensation will be provided upon acceptance of poems, though we hope to change this in the future. in addition, poems will be posted online only, as we are a small publication that has not grown substantial enough to warrant print publications yet.
after submitting your poems to the email listed above, you should expect to receive an email back within three months, though we hope to get to your submissions sooner. we receive and respond to submissions on a rolling basis, so you are welcome to submit your poetry to us at any time. in 2024, accepted poems will be reviewed and posted quarterly on march 1, june 1, september 1, and december 1. if you need to withdraw any of your works for any reason, please respond to your original submission email with the pertinent information to avoid any confusion. you may not withdraw your poems after receiving confirmation of acceptance from us, but may be withdrawn any time before. if you have any other questions regarding the submission process, you are welcome to email us and we will be happy to assist you.
